Doesn't work

I got one from dtr. for Xmas, she purchased one for herself. After about 2 months they only worked for about 1 minute then stopped. This was after the warranty expired. No one is willing to fix the problem. I think this is a rip off. We would be willing to pay for shipping old ones and shipping of new ones, but no one will even talk to us. I think $148 down the drain is a sin. I have tried to find manufacture but to no avail.
